Dearest by The Black Keys
originally by Buddy Holly

via fuckyeahpastiche:

A substantial portion of my music library is devoted to Buddy Holly and his Rockabilly contemporaries. I’m particularly partial to Mr. Holly, which has me absolutely thrilled for this upcoming tribute album (save for the Kid Rock track… confusing). Click through to onethirtybpm for more info.

Oh wow this is exciting! And I think each artist was aptly paired with a song to cover, with both vocal style and personality in mind. This looks super promising (not the Kid Rock part, I mean what the hell is that??). I love this preview track, The Black Keys did good. They did real good.

Side note: I’m nearing my twenty-second year. Buddy Holly accomplished everything he did, left his mark on rock and roll (well, he founded it if you ask me), and died by the age of 22. I feel the need to do more.
